We invite you to join us for the Animal Medical Center Open House and AC PAW Pet Adoptathon on Saturday, October 5th from 12pm-3pm. Featuring a pet Halloween costume contest. We welcome you to bring your pet by dressed in your favorite Halloween costume and you will be entered to win a free bag of Royal Canin food each month for a year! First, Second, and Third prizes will be awarded. All pets attending will go home with a prize! A Bounce House will be open for free admission for children under 12 years of age. Refreshments will be served. AP Paw “Shelter from the Storm” has been helping pets find homes for the past 16 years. There will be adoptable pets visiting during our open house seeking a loving forever home. Please come by to meet Dr. Maggie, enter our pet contest, eat, win prizes, and let the kids play!

Meet Dr. Maggie
We are celebrating the addition of Dr. Margaret Schopp (Dr. Maggie) to the practice. After many summer visits to Traverse City camping and biking the TART trail over the years Dr. Maggie, her husband John and their 2 children made the decision to join the unique community Traverse City has to offer. Drs. Tom and Karen Mertaugh met Dr. Maggie and her family in January of this year. There was an immediate familiarity and camaraderie between them. After 31 years Drs. Tom and Karen made the decision to pass their legacy on to her trusted hands. Dr. Maggie is a Michigan State University College of Veterinarian Medicine graduate. Over the past 15 years she has taken a strong interest in small animal soft tissue surgery, internal medicine and dentistry. Dr. Maggie’s passion is to provide the highest level of veterinary care and service to her clients and patients just as we have done at the Animal Medical Center for the past 31 years. We feel confident that having her as part of our team will be a valuable asset to the Traverse City community.
