Our pets are an important part of our lives. The loss of a pet, for any reason, can be a deeply distressing event. Many people may feel intense grief, sadness, anxiety, guilt, or even anger. These reactions are part of the natural grieving process that comes from the loss of a loved one.
Your feelings are a reflection of the special bond which you felt with your pet. Sharing your feelings with others who have had similar experiences can help in working through the grieving process.
